JuiceDefender needs to do some tests with your handset’s connectivity in order to configure itself for proper functioning. If you see “Make sure the mobile data connection is working before launching setup” after running Setup (note that it’s launched automatically when you open JuiceDefender for the first time), please make sure to:
- manually disable WiFi then try again
- have a strong cell signal then try again - (e.g. go to a window/outdoors if possible)
- in general, have a working mobile data internet connection; check whether your phone is roaming or if you have otherwise disabled it
If you don’t have a data plan or a data-enabled contract/SIM card, or if you’re not using a phone at all (e.g. some WiFi-only device), tap on Skip connectivity check when prompted - Setup should then complete successfully.
If your handset is the EVO 4G, Skip connectivity check should do the trick; see here for more information on EVO support.
If none of the above is helpful or relevant, please leave a comment here describing your problem in detail.
